Who should attend this workshop?

 

This workshop is designed to support Procurement Managers, their line-managers and all who are involved in procurement in state and semi-state bodies, as well as other NGOs in receipt of public funding such as registered charities.

The workshop will focus on compliant day-to-day Public Procurement operations and on building improved compliance through a culture of Continuous Improvement. Attendees could be at the start of their compliance journey or seeking to make improvements. In any case, this workshop will offer valuable insights and practical tools.

  • Understanding the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies as it pertains to Procurement reporting
  • Using Standard Operating Procedures
  • Compliance Reporting (“what you measure, you manage”)
  • Review of the Tender Database (if any) and its Functionality
  • Early Warning Systems – Critical Path
  • Using an Escalation Policy
  • Contract Management – internally and externally
  • Guest speaker on Sustainable Procurement
  • Group Work (Networking)

 

At the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the importance of Compliance in Public Procurement
  • Gain knowledge of how the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies should be applied in their workplace
  • Gain insights into the journey towards achieving compliance
  • Have seen a demonstration of how to effectively manage and adopt best practice procurement compliance
  • Have identified tools to promote compliance and reduce risk for their organisation

 

Guest Speaker:

Conor Molloy is an independent energy management advisor, trainer and auditor, specialised in transport energy management and energy efficiency. He specialises in sustainable logistics, energy management to ISO50001, measurement and verification, fleet fuel management, training and eco-driving. He will speak about upcoming regulations around environmental reporting standards and the need to have good compliance reporting in place in advance.
